My week in three words:
I started back to work this week. I teach four years old part-time at a wonderful Christian preschool. We went back this week, meeting and setting up our rooms. We had Open House on Thursday and I got to meet all the kids that will be in my class this year. The kids start coming on Monday- ready or not. I think I am ready, actually. I like the routine that school brings and I love being in the classroom. I didn’t take any pictures of my classroom, I’ll have to do that this coming up week!
I made several batches of play dough for the kids (the second picture is two big play dough balls J). I love the feel of homemade play dough and it seems to be a favorite of four year olds!
Traditional Play Dough
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
¼ cup salt
1 cup warm water
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
Put the dry ingredients in a pot. Mix the wet ingredients in a bowl and then stir into dry ingredients. Stir over a medium heat until smooth. Remove from pan and knead until blended smooth. Place in plastic bag or airtight container when cool.
I’m praying for a wonderful school year this year!
