The Polar Express…

My parents took the boys (and Dan and me J) on the Polar Express train ride the day after Thanksgiving. It was great. Both boys were in awe and loved it.

They dressed in their Christmas pajamas (and matching robes- so cute!). We got there and waited for the train to arrive. We boarded and when the train started moving they read The Polar Express until we arrived at the North Pole.

Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves boarded the train at the North Pole and they played Christmas songs and the kids sang while we all waited our turn to have a minute with Santa. The elves brought each person the first gift of Christmas– a silver bell. Santa and Mrs. Claus made their way to each child and then we all got chocolate milk and a chocolate chip cookie. On the way back, each child received a Polar Express ornament.

I really recommend taking your kids on The Polar Express if it comes near your way. It really brings tears to my eyes thinking about how in awe the kids were of the ride and there was no doubt what so ever that we magically road the train to the North Pole. Love it!

Here are some pics from our fun night. Thanks Nana and Papa!

  1. Thanks for the link, too! We’re going to try to make the one in Bryson City, NC! I’m so excited! We’re not going to tell the kids – it’ll be a BIG surprise! Ah, I can’t wait! Thank you so much for sharing!

  2. The photos are precious! I love the awe in the boys’ faces!

Do we have to be accompanied by children, or can adults go by themselves? I may have to borrow someone’s kid(s)…I wanna go!
