A trip down memory lane… whether you want it or not…

I’m always a very nostalgic person. I love looking back and reminiscing. But lately I have been extra nostalgic and I think there are 3 reasons.

  1. I took Daniel to the dentist a few weeks back and they pulled up his picture from when he started going there and he looked like a baby, so they retook the picture.
  2. My Sister-in-law is lamenting the fact that 2 of her kiddos are turning 5 and 6 and going to Kindergarten and 1st grade and keeps posting sweet baby pictures of them on her blog! You must stop Mary! {Just kidding! Reminisce about your babies all you want! ;)}
  3. Daniel keeps looking through baby books! He’s killing me!
  4. Okay, maybe there are four reasons. Daniel is going to SECOND GRADE on Monday. How?? He is closer to 8 than 7. Once again how??

Look at this little roly poly happy man.

Where’s the little guy that would sing Row, Row, Row Your Boat while rocking around in a diaper box?

Or the super feisty, but extremely cute preschooler?

Who am I kidding? Where’s the Kindergartener?!

Time absolutely zooms by in a flash when you become a mom. It might be cliché, but it’s true.

And I’m totally not going to get into the fact that there is a little fellow going through his terrible threes around here and not a little {or in Luke’s case, big} baby.

Nope, I don’t want to think about losing baby fat {him, not me I’m afraid}.

In all honesty I am enjoying their ages and it is nice to have moved past that baby stage. But sometimes it’s nice to pull out old pictures and videos and reminisce a bit.

Oh my goodness, I’m going to be a wreck when these children go to college!!

  1. Okay, you’ve made me all weepy this morning! Now I have to go redo my makeup! By the way, I’m pretty sure it’s ya’lls (I’m getting good at using that word) turn in the rotation to have a baby! Someone needs to have one. I need to smell a new baby…just for a day or two…and then give it back!

    Oh, our baby days are done. I say it’s Don & Viv’s turn. I might love looking back on them as babies, but I really don’t want to start all over with one!
