My Sunday Scripture at the beginning of the year was Jeremiah 29:11:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~Jeremiah 29:11
I am claiming this scripture as my theme verse of 2011. I am determined that I am going to be positive and do my part to make 2011 a great year. I really have a blessed life, but my personality is such that any sort of negativity can really bring me down and I am going to try my best to put a stop to it. To remember that God really cares for me and wants what’s best in my life. I’ve got to stop trying to guess what the future holds and completely stress out about it. Instead I’ve got to place my trust in God and know that we can handle whatever comes our way, because God is for us!
“If God is for us, who can be against us?” ~ Romans 8:31
Gosh, is it ever not easy sometimes. Worry tends to creep into my mind quite often, but I’m making a conscious effort to combat it his year with positive thinking and constant reminders that God is good and wants good for me.
I’ve decided to completely copy Katie at Marriage Confessions and keep a Gratitude Journal this year. Each day I will write one thing that I am grateful for. I know that my life is full of blessings and how wonderful it is to see some of those blessings in print.
